Introduction
The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for nurses in Australia, conducted by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is part of the outcomes-based assessment (OBA) for internationally qualified nurses and midwives (IQNMs). It evaluates clinical skills, knowledge, and communication abilities required to practice safely in Australia.
OSCE Overview
Purpose:
To assess the candidate’s ability to apply clinical knowledge and skills in a simulated environment, ensuring they meet the standards expected of a registered nurse in Australia.
