Introduction
AHA’s Heartsaver courses are designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
The CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

- First aid basics
- Medical emergencies
- Injury emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Preventing illness and injury
- Adult CPR and AED use
- Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
- Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
Training Methods
- Face to Face sessions with a duration of approximately 8 hours (1 day)
- Video assisted teaching and learning system
- Real time feedback
- Updated science based content
Assessment
- Theory exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions
- Practical Assessment
Certificate
- Candidates successfully completed the course requirement will get the certificate from American Heart Association.
Validity of Certificate
- Two years from the date of course completion.
